クリスマス

クリスマスは大イベント！！

　今年はクリスマスと新年の休暇２週間もある。日本にいた頃は、１２月３０日迄仕事して、１日が休みで２日から仕事という日常を繰り返していたため、何をするのか迷ってしまう、つまり予定がない。

　クリスマスと言えば、日本でもおなじみであるが、フィリピンとは意味あいがまるで違う、あくまでも宗教行事で日本の初詣や年末年始のイメージに近い、家族みんなで一緒に過ごすというのが一般的であるようだ。日本では、恋人がいなければふてくされるしかなかったが、こちらではふてくされる必要は無い。そういう面では、救われている、日本ではクリスマスは本当に嫌なものだった、特に何の予定も無い事が、人間的にだめであるかのような印象さえ受けた、これは僕が恋愛というものに全く不得手であり、その点で卑屈な感覚を持っていたから感じる事であろう。

　いずれにせよ、恋人がいない人間が仲間外れにならないだけでも、僕にとっては好都合である。国籍に関わらず、もてない人間はどこにいこうがもてない、これはフィリピンに暮らして感じる今日この頃である。

 There are long holidays about 2 weeks in this year. I will only work until 30th of December, and start to work on 2nd, January in Japan. So I waver what is plan for holidays, and now I don't have any plan yet in holidays.

 The Christmas is famous in Japan also, but the implementation is far different in the Philippines. The Philippine Christmas is similar to Japan's New Year eve celebration, or "Hatsumoude". The Philippines Christmas is usually spend time with their families. 

  I went into a sulk in Japan's Christmas when I didn't have a girlfriend. But I don't need to go sulking again on celebrating Christmas here in Philippines, even if I don't have any girlfriend. So, I don't like Christmas in Japan because if I didn't have a girlfriend, I feel disqualified as human. Maybe this thinking is caused by a slavish of myself that is weak subject of love.

 Anyway, it's good for me, I can enjoy the Christmas even if I don't have a girlfriend. Recently, I can understand non relative nationality whatever I am popular among girls or not.

私から見たフィリピン５

フィリピンが好きな理由

自分はなぜフィリピンが好きか、 少し説明してみようかと思います。治安も日本よりはよくは無いですし、インフラもまだまだ整っていない部分は多く見受けられます。でも、そのかわり日本で失ってしまった物が、まだフィリピンには残っているような気がします。それは、何かというと漠然としていてうまく説明は出来ないですが。。。

ただ、日本でサラリーマンをしている頃には、お客さんの電話で起き、お客さんと飲みにいって眠る生活をしていました。将来への希望とか、夢とかは笑い話であって、現実を見据える事が大人として正しいと思っていました。今でも、そう思います。しかし、人生を楽しむという感覚は無かった気がします、その日その日に追われるのみの生活でした。今も基本的には変えられません 、ただフィリピンに来て、色々な人達と触れ合うとそれぞれがやはり問題を抱えながらも、楽しむ事を忘れていない事が感じられて、正直羨ましく思う瞬間があります。また、どんな状況でも笑顔忘れない、精神的な強さは尊敬 に値すると思います。

I will try to explain why I like the country Philippines. Philippines public order can't be compared to Japan's, Their infrastructure also need to improve more. But I think Philippine maintain its heritage while Japan lost their. I'm not quite sure, I can't clearly explain because it's obscure and vague.

My life in Japan starts by calling of customer, and then end to go to bed after a couple of drinks with a client. It's humorous story remain as hope and dream of future. I think I should live as adult now. I need to focus on the facts or reality. But I don't think I'd enjoyed my life. I need to blamed this to the responsibility of my job. Also it's very difficult to change my thought.

But I think Filipinos' don't forget to enjoy, through the experience what I have come into contact other person in the Philippines, so I envy them. I respect the Filipinos' who have tough mentality, and smile whenever facing a hard time.

私から見たフィリピン４

クリスマスパーティー

　師走となりました１２月、師走とは英語では訳せません、師匠も走るとの意味で師走、普段よりずっと忙しいとの意味でしょうが、フィリピンにおいても、クリスマスはビックイベントであり忙しいですが、日本のようなクリスマスとは少し違います。

日本では、私の被害妄想を含めると若い男女が仲をより一層深めるためのイベントのような気がしておりましたため、私にはほぼ関係の無いイベントでした。フィリピンでは家族と一緒に過ごす貴重なイベントのようです。１２月に入ってからは、早々にクリスマス一色になったショッピングモールを眺められます。

　"Siwasu" in Japan means "Master" that's a celebration runs every December. Usually some master don't run, because they are skillful, and not so busy. The Philippines also is busy every December because they are celebrating Christmas. It's different of Japan's Christmas because it's for young couples in order to make a strong relationship. But in the Philippines it is dedicated for their families. The Philippines' Christmas is most precious ceremony for families among other celebrations. We can see Christmas decorations around the shopping malls when December comes.

　私は特にフィリピンに来たからといってクリスマスに予定はありません、元々クリスマスを盛大にお祝いした経験もない為、今年も普段通りに過ごすのではないかと思います。しかしながら、当校では12月19日にてクリスマスパーティーを開催する為、私もイエローチームに交じってダンスの練習をしなければなりません、これは日本にいた時と大きく違います。まず、クリスマスだから何かをしなくてはいけないという状況も初めてですし、ダンスも初めてです。 私がダンスをしたところで、正直何が面白いのか、いまいち理解はしてないですが、結果どうなるかやってみてのお楽しみです。またご報告いたしますね。

　I don't have plan for Christmas in this year, although I have been to the Philippines for years. I don't have any experience in celebrating Christmas, this year also, It's usual days for me.

But I have one plan on 19th of December, That's Cleverlearn's Christmas Party. I try to dance with the other yellow team member, However I can't understand why we need to dance.  I will inform you again about the Christmas party, including the result of my dance.

私から見たフィリピン３

台風とフィリピン

　毎年、フィリピンは台風の被害に遭う、これはフィリピン近くの熱帯海域で台風が生まれるためである。１２月４日〜８日にかけて、フィリピンを横断し、フィリピン赤十字社の発表によると少なくても、２１人が亡くなった。ほとんどの人がサマール島で発生した、高潮によってさらわれたらしい。

昨年のヨランダ台風に比べれば、被害は少なく早めの避難が功を奏したと思う。彼らも、学んでいる。

　Every year Philippines get some damage by typhoons. Because typhoons produced by sea area near of tropical zone where Philippines is located. The typhoon that was crossing the Philippine from 4th of December to 8th of December, rob life of 21 people according to the RED CROSS of the Philippines. Almost 21 person swept by high waves at Samar Island.

I think that is few damage compared to typhoon Yolanda . Because people learn their lesson by the experience, so they evacuate to a safer place for those who live in dangerous area.

建築物と台風被害

　今回の台風では、当校は生徒さん達に対し、外出禁止の措置を出した。但し、生徒さん達は不満たらたらで、この程度であれば外出は出来るだろうとの意見が大勢であった。

その中でも、外出禁止措置変更しなかったのは正解であろうと考える。私は元々建築関係の仕事をしていたので、フィリピンの街の風景を見ていて良く思う事が有る。東日本大震災規模の地震があれば、ほとんどの建物が倒壊すると思っている。日本のような、建築基準法があるのか、ないのか分からないが、適用はされていない。簡単なバラッグだけでなく大きな建物でも、柱も梁も細いし、鉄筋がむき出している。日本で働いていたときは、鉄筋はコンクリートに覆われ、腐食されないよう雨仕舞いが重要事項であった。雨ざらしの錆びた鉄筋は強度が落ちる、日本では常識である。

その脆い建築物が、怖いと私は考えている。

　We put safety measure to protect our student in our English Language School and we don't allow them to go out. The students was discontented by the situation because they think that their is no problem even if they go out from our school. But I think that is correct, so we don't change the measure.  My job before is relative the constructions, so when I see the Philippine constructions, I guess almost these constructions collapse if there is an earthquake like the one of East Japan on 3.11.2011. Because there is no law here like the building standard law of Japan or not to apply the law for constructions not only shacks, but also buildings.

The big buildings also have thin pillar and thin beam, and bare the reinforcing during constructing.

It's very important to be protected by rain, so I worry about waterproof when I was working in Japan. Because reinforcing concrete's strength is becoming weak if it's contact with the rain. It's a common knowledge but the Philippines is non relative of rain. I'm afraid of that weak constructions.
